EDUCATION 

I attended the University of Colorado from 1986 to 1990 earning my bachelor degree in Kinesiology.  I then traded my beloved mountains of Colorado for the beaches of Florida in order to attend the University of St Augustine and graduated with my Master of Physical Therapy in 1996.  I  hold several certifications which include: Strength and Conditioning Specialist from NCSA, Corrective Exercise Specialist and Woman’s Fitness Specialist from NASM,and Certified Woman’s Health Specialist from Evergreen Certifications.

 

SPECIALTY:

I specialize in pelvic floor dysfunction. This includes many diagnoses which include: pelvic pain, urinary and bowel incontinence, painful intercourse, pelvic organ prolapse, postpartum rehabilitation, post menopausal conditions and pelvic floor muscular dysfunction.  I also focus heavily on education of vulvar anatomy, function and care.

 

PHILOSOPHY

I am a “why” girl when it comes to health and wellness.  If someone does not understand “why” their conditions exist, at least at the most basic level, it is very difficult to empower them to take control of their outcomes.  Every treatment I provide my clients includes education regarding their anatomy and physiology and “why” we are doing a particular intervention.   Your time with me needs to make sense and truly resonate with you in order for positive changes to occur.

 

LIFE

Like most Coloradans, time outdoors is always revered.  I love to travel…anywhere!  I am married to my high school sweetheart and together we have a daughter.  I love scrap booking and enjoy chronicling our yearly events, adventures and travels!  Some of my favorite moments are sitting on my back porch watching Rocky Mountain sunsets!
