She takes particular interest in mind-body conditions including recurring injury, chronic pain, spinal conditions, neuropathies, fascial chain dysfunction, dizziness/sensory conflict, and trauma. Her approach combines skilled manual therapy with patient education, individualized movement programming, and general wellness practices..

Philosophy
Dr. Mara strives to walk alongside each of her patients on their journey into greater health and understanding. With over 10 years of yoga training and teaching experience, she sees the powerful connections between nervous system regulation, breathing, postural alignment, movement quality, intention, attention, and wellbeing. She feels that physical ailments are often connected to mental and emotional experiences, and as Willa Blythe Baker writes, "The mind is embedded in the body."

Life
Originally from southern California, Mara now feels at home in the mountains since moving here in 2021. In her free time, she enjoys seeing live music, practicing yoga, swimming, hiking, backpacking, skiing, energy work, poetry, travelling, and learning the art of physical therapy through her own body.
