ORANGE GINGER GREEN TEA
I drink green tea nearly every day. I can already smell that ginger and orange.
1 serving green tea (loose leaf, teabag or ½ teaspoon matcha)
5 orange slices
3 fresh ginger slices
¼ teaspoon honey
Fill your teapot with boiling water. Steep the orange and ginger for 4 minutes.
Add the green tea and steep for a further 3 minutes. If using matcha green tea powder instead, simply dissolve the powder into your teapot.
Pour the tea through a strainer into your cup.
Add honey to your taste. Enjoy!

PUMPKIN SPICE LATTE
I guarantee this will be cheaper than any coffee house (and taste better too.)
1 cup hot, strong brewed dark roast coffee
1/2 cup almond milk
2 tablespoons pumpkin puree
3 pitted medjool dates
1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
paleo coconut whipped cream as topping (optional)
Put all the ingredients in a high speed blender (I love my Vitamix!), and blend on high speed for 90 seconds.
Serve warm, and optionally top with coconut whipped cream and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice
On the next cool night try one of these recipes. Treat yourself and your family with a new kind of warm drink. These recipes are much better than a packet of dried chocolate sugar (or fake sugar) or high dollar drinks at the local coffee house. When you control the ingredients, you take charge. You train your taste buds to crave good, real food. When that happens the benefits begin. You won't believe how good you feel. (Even if you feel good now.) Your energy, stamina, and mood will rise to levels you never thought possible. Get out and enjoy this beautiful season. Then come home and a have a cup of you new favorite warm drink.
Here's to your health! Happy cooking.
